Boat trip and whale watching on the Little Belt departing from Middelfart
See porpoises and perhaps seals on our whale watching on the Little Belt. Guinea pigs are small cetaceans, which are found in large numbers at Middelfart. On the trip, our crew tells us about the animals and the sea around us.
The population of porpoises in the Little Belt is one of the densest in the world. We enjoy this on our whale safaris, where there is a very high probability of meeting the small whales.
On the boat trip there is a story about the behavior and life of the guinea pigs in the Little Belt.
The route is not entirely planned in advance. However, we guarantee that we sail under at least one of the Little Belt bridges, and we make every effort to read the current conditions and sail where we usually meet the most porpoises in accordance with the given conditions, trying each time to lay out the route that is most beautiful and most likely to see porpoises.
Often we also see seals on a whale watching tour in Middelfart, and Lillebælt is one of the few places in Denmark where we see Alke and Lomvier, which are otherwise mostly seen in northern Scandinavia. Every once in a while we meet the Sea Eagle.
The nature in and around the Little Belt is very special — and has been proclaimed a marine natural national park. There is a lot of nature and a lot of stories. We probably won't be able to tell you everything there is to experience here, because it's also important to just be present and enjoy the tour and nature.
You are very welcome to bring picnic basket with, for example, coffee & cake or drinks and snacks. Welcome aboard for the “guinea pig trip”!

Calm, Enthusiasm and Presence
Few places in the world can you see such a close population of guinea pigs. Over the past 5 years, we have seen guinea pigs on 99.7% of trips.
